Postdoctoral position to work on dark matter searches at Madrid IFT

The Astroparticle group at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, IFT UAM-CSIC (Madrid, Spain) invites applications for a post-doctoral position. The selected candidate will join the group of Prof. David G. Cerdeño to work on aspects related to the direct detection of light dark matter, coherent neutrino scattering, and machine learning tools, applied to dark matter searches within the SuperCDMS collaboration.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics and demonstrated research abilities in areas pertinent to the research activities. Our research group sits at the frontier of theory and experiment, and therefore we welcome applications from candidates with both theoretical or experimental background.

The IFT (https://www.ift.uam-csic.es/en) offers a vibrant atmosphere, with a wide range of experts in particle and astroparticle physics and cosmology. In addition, the Theoretical Physics Department at Madrid Autonoma University complements this with expertise in astrophysics, and experimental particle and neutrino physics. Salary and duration:

28800 Eur/year (gross salary)

The duration of the contract is two years and includes public health insurance.
