The Institute of Theoretical Physics IFT CSIC/UAM welcomes applications to postdoctoral positions, starting October 2023, under various government funding programs.

There is an open call for postdoc positions in Theoretical Physics at the IFT Madrid, within the framework of the H2020 MSCA-COFUND program.

These are 3-year positions, due to start between 2nd May and 31st December 2023. They are endowed with a competitive salary plus additional funds for research expenses.

Postdocs "Juan de la Cierva"

The IFT expects to have  openings for postdoc positions, under the "Juan de la Cierva (JdC)” program of the Spanish government. 

These are 2-year postdoctoral positions open for candidates who have defended their PhD thesis between Jan 1, 2020 and Dec 31, 2021.

Applicants need the sponsorship of a IFT researcher. The number of applications that can be submitted through IFT is limited, so a preselection  is required. Candidates interested in applying through IFT are invited to provide a CV, before Jan 22,  2022,  through the webform

The IFT announces two postdoctoral positions in the areas of Quantum Computation and Quantum Simulation

The positions will cover a two-year period, with a possible extension to a third one. They include a competitive salary and a full health insurance. Selected candidates will participate in group grants, which provide additional funds for scientific visits, attendance and organization of workshops and conferences, and computer equipment.

The appointment will be for two years, with an extension for another year contingent on satisfactory performance and availability of funding. The IFT UAM-CSIC welcomes applications for a 1+1 postdoctoral position in theoretical cosmology and particle physics starting in autumn 2021 (earlier start possible). The position will be funded by the Atracción de Talento research grant (2017-T1/TIC-5520) held by Guillermo Ballesteros. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the second contingent to the availability of funds.

Four postdoctoral positions in H2020 network HIDDeN

The four positions offered now are intended to carry research in phenomenology of particle physics. The positions will be based at Univ. Autónoma de Madrid (UAM)-IFT (Madrid, Spain), INFN-TS ( Italy), CNRS (Univ. of Paris-Saclay, France) and Univ. of Valencia-IFIC (Valencia, Spain).
