By studying Scattering Amplitudes we have explored several aspects in the theory for the strong interaction, Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD), ranging from the physics of particle colliders and its phenomenology, to more fundamental questions, which points, more generally, towards a deeper understanding of Quantum Field Theory.
The first part of the thesis is devoted to the application of the Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov (BFKL) framework to the prediction and understanding of different processes at the LHC. We will discuss generalizations of Mueller-Navelet jets observables and the description of forward production of Drell-Yan pairs.
In the second part of the thesis, we dive into more formal aspects, investigating new frameworks to describe Scattering Amplitudes focusing only on on-shell degrees of freedom. We explore the properties of the Grassmannian formalism when reducing the amount of supersymmetry of supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory.
